The founder of John 3:16 Ministries, Aba, Abia State, Brother Samuel Ajayi Okonkwo is preaching peace and unity among the Igbo nation, saying it is with this they would attain their heights in Nigeria.
Okonkwo who was speaking in Aba said whatever challenges the Igbo race was having in the Nigerian nation was as a result of lack of unity and peace.
“With the way things are today, the Igbo should never blame the west or north for their political woes, they should infact blame themselves.
“They hate each other betray each other, sell each other because of love of money. Love of money breeds idolatry and many other things including hate, bloodshed, disunity etc.
“Once the Igbo come back to God in spirit and truth; favor, promotion and all what not shall come.
“I have said this severally, the Igbo love money to a fault and this is sin. God is not happy the way they go after money. They should turn back and get closer to God, then He will fight for them, including political battles.”
The John 3:16 founder was not happy with the recent call by the General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi for the support of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led administration
He said Kumuyi was aware of how Tinubu became the president, adding that calling for support for his administration amounts to standing truth on the head.
“Pastor kumuyi should show us where the Bible – God’s word supports falsehood as he has done in supporting Tinubu who we all know how he became the president. The world is watching the whole falsehood going on in our nation”, he said.
Okonkwo quoted some Bible verses, including John 7:18, Espsians 4:25 and
Revelation 22:15 to support his statement.
