The leadership of the CityBoy Movement, Ogun State Chapter, has unequivocally distanced itself from a group operating under the name “CityBoy Likeminds.”
In a Wednesday statement signed by its General Secretary, Comrade Adeyemi Samson Ajasa, CityBoy Movement, Ogun State Chapter, stated categorically that the said group is neither affiliated with nor recognized by the CityBoy Movement at the national, zonal, state, local government, ward, or polling unit levels.
The statement reads, “For the avoidance of doubt, there is only one recognized CityBoy Movement with a well-established organizational structure spanning from the National Executive to the Zonal, State, Local Government, Ward, and Polling Unit levels.
“Any group or association operating outside this officially recognised structure should not be mistaken as representing the ideals, leadership, or activities of the CityBoy Movement.
“We therefore caution the leaders and promoters of the so-called CityBoy Likeminds to immediately desist from actions capable of creating unnecessary confusion, misinformation, or distraction among our loyal members and supporters across Ogun State. Such activities are counterproductive to the unity and collective vision of the movement.
“The CityBoy Movement, Ogun State Chapter, remains steadfast in its commitment to grassroots mobilisation, political enlightenment, and strategic engagement across the 20 Local Government Areas, 236 Wards, and Polling Units of Ogun State in support of the Renewed Hope Agenda of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
Ajasa noted that the movement remains fully focused on consolidating its structures and intensifying activities aimed at ensuring the successful re-election of President Bola Tinubu and other APC candidates in Ogun state in the 2027 General Elections.
“We urge all members, coordinators, stakeholders, and the general public to disregard any unauthorized group claiming to represent the CityBoy Movement outside the officially recognized structure and to continue working with the legitimate leadership of the movement,” the statement further reads.
