The Member of the House of Representatives for Gwer East and Gwer West Federal Constituency, Arc. Asema Achado, has called on Nigerian children to cultivate humility and good manners to earn favour and blessings from God and their parents.
The lawmaker made this call in a statement signed by his Personal Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mendah Manasseh, and made available to newsmen in Makurdi on Monday.
Achado, who extended his warmest felicitations to the children on the occasion of the 2024 Children’s Day celebration, said the day was specially made for children to celebrate them.
He also noted that “it is a time for joy, entertainment, and celebration not just for children but also for parents, as everyone was once a child.”
Achado encouraged children to cultivate humility, modesty, and good manners, which will earn them favour from God and also enable them to impress their parents, leading to more blessings and success in their future endeavours.
He emphasized the importance of parents and guardians providing unwavering support, dedication, and proper discipline to help children develop good moral standards, discipline, and cultural values.
“This will enable them to make a positive impact in the world and become great leaders of tomorrow,” he said.
He congratulated the children of Gwer East and Gwer West Federal Constituency, Benue state, and Nigerians at large, wishing them a wonderful time as they celebrate the special day.
