Chemstar Industries Limited, recently marked its 30th anniversary with a thanksgiving service at the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide Ayo Ni O, Divine Blessing Cathedral of Victory District, Lagos.

The service began at 10am and featured, a presentation of an undisclosed cheque and two units of well-furnished three-bedroom apartments to the church. The gesture symbolised the company’s gratitude for its growth and success over the past three decades, under the leadership of Dr. Aderemi Awode, CEO, Chemstar.

One of the highlights was the entrance of the Spiritual Father and Chairman of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide Ayo Ni O, Baba Aladura Prophet Emmanuel Abiodun Alogbo. Despite his advanced age, he danced gracefully to the choir’s melodious renditions, which were amplified through high-quality speakers installed in the cathedral.

Baba Aladura Alogbo presented a beautiful portrait to the mother of Chemstar’s CEO, Most Senior Special Mother-in-Israel, Pro. D.M. Awode, who also marked her 85th birthday anniversary.

In his sermon, Special Apostle Pastor Fola Onafuye compared Dr. Awode to the Biblical Jacob, praising his determination and focus, which have been instrumental in the company’s success. Pastor Onafuye emphasised the importance of remaining focused and allowing God to lead in all endeavours.

He also recounted Dr. Awode’s philanthropic efforts, such as building a mosque for the Orile-Igbon Muslim community, and encouraged him to continue acts of kindness. While praying for Chemstar, Pastor Onafuye who quoted from Isaiah 45:2-3, said: “all obstacles in the company’s path would be removed.” He further likened the event to what led God making a covenant with Noah for appreciating HIM after the flood, urging Dr. Awode to maintain his pact with God for a renewal of covenant.

Onafuye further charged Chemstar’s workers to be righteous and spiritual in their dealings, quoting John 15:12 on loving one another. He concluded with Revelation 20:12-15, emphasising the importance of being found in the Book of Life and encouraging everyone to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.

The musical highlight came from Kent Edunjobi, whose soulful performances had attendees dancing and capturing videos and taking selfies. Everyone in the gathering was forced to rise and danc as Mega 99, the popular musician that has his root in CCC Oshodi I, took over the stage. The shouts for more songs filled the entire Cathedral when he ended his presentation and decided to leave the choir court.

Among the diginitaries present were reverred leaders of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide Ayo Ni O, including the Chairman of Idimu District, Senior Special Apostle Prophet Ayanloye Iranloye; Secretary General of the Conference, Senior Special Apostle Prophet Dr. Anthony Olusesan Samaye; member, Board of Trustees of the church, Senior Special Apostle Bisi Adedire; Chairman, Faith in Christ District, Senior Special Apostle Pastor T.O.
