Champion Breweries Plc has unveiled its expanded beverage portfolio at the 2026 ART X Lagos, as the company steps up efforts to grow its presence in different beverage markets across Africa.

The 11th edition of the art fair, which opened yesterday at the Federal Palace, Lagos, will run until November 8 under the theme, “A New Chapter, A New Decade”.

The event brings together African artists and creative talents to showcase contemporary art and explore how the continent’s cultural heritage continues to shape modern artistic expressions.

Champion is participating in the event for the second consecutive year, using the platform to showcase products from its growing beverage business.

The company’s portfolio on display includes Champion Lager and Champ Malt, Bullet Black ready-to-drink alcoholic beverage, Bullet Blue energy drink, Harmattan Vodka Soda, Éclat No Sugar Co. and Bitter botanical sparkling drinks.

Speaking on the partnership, Group Chief Executive Officer of Evercorp Industries and Director of Champion Breweries, Eric Idiahi, said culture remained a powerful expression of African identity and aspirations.

“Culture is one of the most powerful ways we express who we are, where we come from and what we aspire to become. It lives in our art and music, but also in the everyday experiences we share,” he said.

Idiahi said businesses had a responsibility to support creative talents and platforms that promote African cultural expressions while creating opportunities for more people to participate.

The company said its expanded product range reflects its strategy to build a diversified beverage business with a stronger presence across African markets.

A major step in this direction was the acquisition of the Bullet brand portfolio, which strengthened its position in the ready-to-drink alcoholic beverage and energy drink markets and expanded its commercial reach to 14 African countries.

Champion said the expansion would help broaden its product offerings, strengthen distribution and support long-term business growth.

The company’s involvement in the fair also extends to music through ART X Live!, its flagship music and visual art programme scheduled for Saturday, November 7.

Bullet will be the featured partner brand at the event, which will showcase emerging African music talents, including Kunmie, Lulu and Taves.

Curated by Lanre Masha, the programme will bring together artistes drawing inspiration from African musical traditions while exploring new sounds and creative expressions.

Visitors can experience the Champion Brands Lounge on November 6, 7 and 8, while ART X Live! begins at 10.30pm on Saturday.

Champion Brands is part of Evercorp Industries and has a portfolio covering beer, malt drinks, ready-to-drink alcoholic beverages, energy drinks and non-alcoholic refreshments. The company is building on more than five decades of Nigerian brewing experience to expand its brands and reach across Africa.
