•    Beefs up technical crew with Unuanel

NIGERIA’S CAF Champions League flag bearer, Enyimba started pressing the panic button after her last weekend’s fall at home to Zamalek of Egypt.

The Peoples Elephants yesterday announced the hiring of coach Samson Unuanel who was early this season sacked by Sunshine of Akure.

It is not yet clear if Unuanel will now head the technical crew or come in as assistant coach to Paul Aigbogun.

It is recalled that Unuanel worked with the Aba Millionaires between 2009-10 season.

“I feel honoured rejoining the team I worked with six years ago,” Unuanel told Goal yesterday, adding: “They believe in my tactical and managerial skills and I will put in my best effort to justify my appointment and never to let them down. “Enyimba are a great club with rich history and my combo with Aigbogun will work wonders.” Having bowed 1-0 to Zamalek in her CAF Champions League opener, Enyimba faces Abia Warriors in a rescheduled Nigeria Professional Football League game today before plotting how she would tackle Mamelodi Sundowns in the next continental outing on June 29 in Jo’Burg.
