Tragedy was averted Sunday afternoon as a trailer smashed into a building at the Kirikiri area of Lagos destroying several shops.
The incident Daily Sun learnt caused gridlock as most motorist that ply the newly commissioned Dillion Road had to slow down around the scene of the incident while evacuation by the police was on.
A witness, who pleaded anonymity told our correspondent that the truck was at full speed when it veered across the road and smashed the street lights, shops and the fence of a building.
Although no lives were lost and none was injured, the driver of the truck was not at the scene at the time of filing this report.
