Residents of Lake View Estate at Ibeshe, in Ikorodu, Lagos State, on Monday afternoon, protested the demolition of 16 buildings (completed and uncompleted) by officials believed to be from the Lagos State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.
Speaking with newsmen during a peaceful protest at Alausa, Ikeja, their spokesman, Mr. Victor Armstrong, explained that over 1,000 residents of the estate had been rendered homeless by the exercise.
