Nigerian comedian and compere Bovi has stirred reactions after jokingly advising people to avoid doing business with anyone who believes Portuguese football icon Cristiano Ronaldo is a better player than Argentine legend Lionel Messi.
Speaking during a live session on his Instagram page, Bovi said a person’s stance in the long-running Ronaldo-Messi debate could reveal how they process reality and make decisions.
According to him, anyone who confidently insists Ronaldo is superior to Messi has the tendency to reshape facts to suit personal beliefs, a trait he said should raise concerns in business relationships.
“If a person says matter-of-factly that Ronaldo is a better footballer than Messi, pick up your shoes and run. Don’t do business with that kind of person,” he said.
Bovi argued that such individuals are capable of twisting obvious facts to fit their own narrative, adding that they may also reinterpret agreements or situations to align with their personal convictions.
He further claimed that those who hold such views genuinely believe them despite what he described as clear evidence to the contrary, jokingly describing them as “psychos.”
His remarks have since sparked conversations online among football fans, reigniting the age-old debate over who is the greater player between Ronaldo and Messi.
