There were reports that bandits attacked a polling unit at Kuje, in Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The attack was said to have happened at one of the polling units at Gidan Mangoro area of Kuje.
It was not known whether the gunmen who stormed the polling unit abducted any of the electoral officers.
The bandits’ action sent fears to voters who ran for safety.
But security sources, however, said the situation was later brought under the control as soldiers were alerted and deployed to the scene.
The FCT Commissioner of Police Sadik Abubakar, could not be reached on phone about the time this report was filed.
