A middle-aged man, suspected to be a member of the dreaded Badoo cult group, was yesterday set ablaze by an angry mob in Magbo Ogijo, Sagamu Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The suspect, it was gathered, was in possession of the severed head of a baby.
It was also learnt that the convoy of the state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, who was on an official visit to Ogijo, ran into the mob burning the suspect.
On sighting the police convoy, however, the crowd dispersed for fear of being arrested.
Policemen in the police commissioner’s convoy immediately evacuated the charred remains of the suspect.
