Former Osun State PDP governorship aspirant Dotun Babayemi has commended President Bola Tinubu for prioritizing worker welfare through recent salary increases. In a Workers’ Day statement, Babayemi also praised Tinubu’s efforts to revitalize the Nigerian economy and alleviate the plight of its citizens.
Babayemi acknowledged the positive impact of salary increases and improved working conditions, urging state governments to follow suit. He commended Tinubu’s leadership in addressing the challenges inherited from previous administrations, emphasizing the need for continued support for the president’s efforts to improve the nation’s well-being.
Babayemi also lauded the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and its affiliates for their contributions to the country’s economic growth, highlighting the importance of collaboration between government and labour unions in overcoming national challenges and strengthening democracy.
He urged local and state governments to emulate the federal government’s initiatives by increasing salaries and implementing better working conditions to enhance productivity and overall economic prosperity.
