No fewer than eight people including pregnant woman confirmed died as result of a ghastly auto-crash in Taura Local Government Area of Jigawa state.
The police spokesperson in Jigawa Abdul Jinjiri, a Superintendent of Police confirmed the incident to Daily Sun in Dutse the state capital.
According to him, the incident occurred around 1 pm on Friday while conveying a pregnant woman on labour from a neighboring village to Jahun General Hospital.
He explained that, the vehicle, Opel Astra, with registration number XA 478 DKD. and was carrying nine persons, four men and five women, lost control and rammed into on coming articulated vehicle resulting to the fatal accident.
It was gathered that the driver and one other person who survived the accident are presently in Jahun General Hospital for medical treatment.
