Call of Duty: Mobile (COD: M) Africa has signed popular African content creator Asherkine in a move aimed at expanding its growing gaming and esports ecosystem across the continent.

The partnership will see Asherkine collaborate with leading African creators to showcase the game’s features and engage a wider audience. His inclusion follows COD: M Africa’s sustained efforts to strengthen gaming culture through creator-focused initiatives and competitive events.

In March 2026, the platform hosted its Creator College, a five-day, fully funded training programme designed to equip emerging creators with practical skills through workshops and peer learning. The initiative, alongside continent-wide tournaments, has helped amplify African gaming talent and visibility.

Asherkine’s involvement is seen as a natural progression, given his active participation in the Call of Duty: Mobile community and frequent appearances on gaming streams.

“Partnering with Call of Duty: Mobile is exciting for me because it aligns with something I am passionate about,” he said.

As part of the campaign, Asherkine will collaborate with Nigerian creators including Kingplays, Queen Favyy, PrimeGaming, Virgo, and Sxntos to host tournaments, create content, and distribute in-game rewards such as premium items and Carry1st gems.

Players are expected to benefit from opportunities to join ranked matches, gain exposure for their content, and connect with an active and supportive gaming community.

“I want people to know that even if they download the game today, no one is left behind. The community is active, and there are many creators we want to support globally,” Asherkine added.

Call of Duty: Mobile has recorded over one billion downloads globally since its launch, including more than 100 million in its first week. As of 2025, the game maintains between 12 and 15 million monthly active users and about two million daily users.

Carry1st, the publisher behind COD: M Africa, continues to drive gaming growth in frontier markets by developing, licensing, and distributing digital content, supported by its proprietary payment system, Pay1st, and its online marketplace, Carry1st Shop.
