Like would many of the dignitaries at the Book Launch, Edward Adigwe has been a part of the HRM Florence Okonkwo writing and publishing interest irrespective of her calling in the film and movie industry. The unequivocal support has equally been a driving force leading to his contribution to this wok of literature!
In the entertainment scene, Edward has impeccable interest in the works of Arts and Entertainment apart from his writing career and budding quest in literature. Edward has featured in stage performances using his literary prowess to the excitement of the audience. One of such performances was held in Lagos alongside the Nigerian Comedian Omobaba in attendance. The event was graced by several prominent arts and culture enthusiast. Edward Adigwe is a well-known lover of literary works. His thirst for folktales and cultural performances equally propelled his undying love for folklore songs with traditional undertone that could create sensational rhythm to lovers of Art. Various forms of theatrical performances and voice over recordings have been performed by Edward Adigwe. One of such performances was held at the Lawson studios, Ikeja Lagos. Edward Adigwe has several appellations and roles in the literary world.
But little did many know Edward Adigwe as a theatrical performer and a voice over artist on folktale songs. The multitalented playwright is also a stage play director. Edward´s innovative skills have been a major contribution to his literary personality. He has anchored several events and a lead speaker at several training sessions, and seminars not to mention notable literary events requiring his enthusiastic skill as a compere to grace occasions, often characterized by his unparalleled literary instincts and sense of humor.
The Playwright and stage director also had some of his plays performed in some notable different public and private secondary schools in Nigeria. His plays: “Outcast Heir” and “Ajagunla Ring” were both used as literature texts by the Junior High Schools in Lagos and Ogun State Secondary Schools in Nigeria. Edward Adigwe is currently rounding up his PhD studies in Europe. The multitalented playwright is bent on promoting the African Arts & Culture to the global community!
