Adugbo recently came alive with music, love and celebration as renowned Afrobeat percussionist, Segun Adekunle, popularly known as Lábúlé, hosted a special event in honour of his wife.
The celebration provided an opportunity for Lábúlé to publicly acknowledge his wife’s invaluable contribution to his life and career, describing her as a pillar behind his success and praising her unwavering love, encouragement and support throughout his musical journey.
The event was anchored by veteran journalist and broadcaster, Effiong Nyong, and attracted family members, friends, fellow musicians, media practitioners and other distinguished guests.
Guests were treated to an array of sumptuous meals and assorted drinks in a warm and convivial atmosphere before Lábúlé and members of his Music Family took to the stage for a captivating live performance.

The performance served as a heartfelt musical tribute to his wife, with Lábúlé using his music to express his affection and appreciation for her years of support.
The evening also featured performances by B.R. Olorin, Jojo Bodybeat and Bayode Olaiya, son of the late highlife icon, Dr Victor Olaiya.
Bayode Olaiya particularly thrilled guests with renditions from his father’s celebrated repertoire, bringing the timeless sounds of the highlife legend to the gathering.
The celebration ended on a memorable note, combining music, friendship, family and appreciation in an atmosphere that underscored Adugbo’s growing reputation as a destination for cultural expression, live music and memorable social gatherings.
