Former Chief Whip in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Dr Jonathan Robinson. Obuebite has declared that the Appeal Court ruling that upheld the judgment of Bayelsa Elections Petitions Tribunal was a reflection of the wishes of the electorate in Bayelsa.

Obuebite in a statement to Senator Douye Diri, governor of Bayelsa State, and his deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, on their victory at the court of appeal said it is time for unity.

The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja had on Thursday dismissed an appeal filed by Chief Timipre Sylva, candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), challenging Diri’s victory in the November 2023 governorship election.
