The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Ajibola Basiru, has appealed to Nigerians to be more dedicated and committed to righteousness to have a better society.
Speaking in his hometown, Osogbo, Osun State, on Sunday, shortly after observing 2-rakat of 1445 Eid-el-Adha prayer, Basiru also called for continuous prayer for the administration of President Bola Tinubu, to enable him to deliver his promises to Nigerians.
He said, “We thank God Almighty for making today possible. I want to thank Allah for allowing us to witness yet another Eid-el-Adha.
“This Eid signal sacrifice signifies humility and obedience to Almighty Allah, so we urge Nigerians to continue to be dedicated to piety, integrity, and humility and to continue to see selflessness as the hallmark of sacrifice that will enable us to have a better society.
“We felicitate with all Muslims and also Nigerians on this very occasion. We urge them to continue to pray for the success of the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” Basiru said.
Earlier, the Chief Imam of Osogboland, Alhaji Musa Animasahun, urged the Muslims to learn from the sacrifice and be more obedient to Allah as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (ASW).
