Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has joined other first-term governors in declaring total support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the continuation of the Renewed Hope Agenda beyond 2027.
This was contained in a statement issued by the governor’s spokesman, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Tuesday.
In a communiqué issued after the meeting of 15 first-term governors in Birnin Kebbi and read by the host governor, Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu, the governors—including those of Kano, Jigawa, Sokoto, Zamfara, Kebbi, Ondo, Taraba, Delta, Ekiti, Kogi, Benue, Ebonyi, Edo, and Plateau states—unanimously declared support for President Tinubu’s second-term bid.
The governors acknowledged the sacrifices Nigerians have made due to the ongoing economic reforms, saying the country is undergoing a necessary period of correction after years of fiscal and development challenges.
They said the reforms are necessary to stabilise the economy, restore public finances, attract investment, strengthen productivity, and improve security.
