Governor Umaru Tanko Al-makura of Nasarawa State has reiterated his commitment to make life better for the people of the state by building a multipurpose storage facility in each of the 13 local government areas of the state that can serve traders across the state.
He explained that his administration have made it a duty to put in place top class infrastructures that will turn around the fortunes of the state and engage the teeming unemployed youths, noting that he would make the state an investment haven.
Governor Almakura who stated this while inspecting some newly built structures in Lafia, including a storage facility, explained that it would open a new vista of development that would enhance the standard of living of the people of the state.
According to him “building storage houses in the state will help in the preservation of a large number of farm produce and boost food security in the state as well as sufficiency” he said
He express satisfaction with the level of work in some of the projects inspected , adding that more storage facilities will be prioritise by his administration to serve the needs of farmers and business men in preserving their products.
He said the focus of his administration in the remaining two years is to ensure the completion of all ongoing projects in the state that have direct bearing with the common man on the streets.
