Who’s trying to impersonate gospel singer, Aity Dennis on social media? That’s the question on her fans’ lips after a new Instagram account bearing @aitydenis-inyang popped up recently.
Obviously aware of the fake account, the singer had done a screen shot of it and posted it on her official Instagram handle @aitydenis with this message: “Fake account, Hi friends, this is not my Instagram account. The only Instagram account I have is the one I’m using. Please beware.”
Since the advent of social media, it has become a common practice for fraudsters to clone the accounts of popular celebrities, and this practice has culminated in unsuspecting fans and show promoters being defrauded.
