African Fashion Week Nigeria (AFWN) is all set to celebrate ten years of shaping a vibrant culture and showcasing African creativity in design.

This year’s event which will run from December 6 to 8, 2024, promises a lineup of runway shows, competitions  and summits designed to elevate Africa’s fashion industry. It would also be used to kickstart the first-ever Luxury Hearts Fundraiser to raise funds for charities, including the Sickle Cell Foundation and Rural Raise Africa, which supports education in underserved areas.

Founded in 2011 by Olori Queen Ronke Ademiluyi Ogunwisi, AFWN has become a significant platform for emerging designers, empowering creatives and boosting the fashion industry across Africa.

Reflecting on the journey over the years, Olori Ronke said: “Today, African fashion is not just a cultural statement, it’s an economic driver, putting food on the table for many.”
