Following the fresh two-year ban slammed on him, the embattled former FIFA and CAF Executive member, Dr. Amos Adamu has announced his retirement from football administration.
In an exclusive chat with footballlive.ng, the 64-year-old , who was recently banned for two years by the world governing body, maintains his innocence and alleges the sanctions were politically motivated by a mafia in FIFA.
Dr. Adamu was Nigeria’s top ranked football official in the international bodies until November 2010, when he received a three-year ban and 10,000 Swiss franc fine from FIFA Ethics Committee after being found guilty of breaching bribery rules.
