The Nigeria Rugby Federation has released the final list of the women’s team for the 2023 African Games going in Accra Ghana, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Federation announced the 15-man lady team that will carry the country’s flag for the very first time in the international tournament.
The list consists of 9 home-based players and 6 foreign players.
The team departed the shore of the country on Monday, brimming with confidence.
The team coach Steve Lewis expressed his excitement and also decided on their readiness to do the country proud in Ghana.
“It will be a historic and proud moment when these Nigerian rugby women represent their country in international competition for the first time, let’s get to work”, he said.
