African Creator Summit 3.0 unites 5,000 creators, redefines Africa’s creative economy

The African Creator Summit (ACS) 3.0 has drawn its curtains in spectacular fashion, marking a defining moment in the evolution of Africa’s creative economy. With over 5,000 participants in attendance, the two-day summit has been widely acknowledged as the biggest African creators conference on the continent and the largest gathering of creators ever held within Africa. The event brought together an extraordinary mix of influential content creators, artists, filmmakers, cultural leaders, tech innovators, media executives, policymakers, and brand stakeholders, all converging around a shared vision of African creativity, ownership, and global relevance.

Held under the compelling theme Africa Trades Her SWAG,” ACS 3.0 went beyond the traditional conference format to deliver an immersive ecosystem of ideas, performances, conversations, and experiences. Across music, film, digital media, food culture, and brand storytelling, the summit showcased Africa’s expanding influence in the global creative economy. More than ever, the event reinforced the narrative that Africa is no longer merely contributing to global culture, but actively shaping trends, exporting value, and redefining creative standards worldwide.

One of the most anticipated sessions of the summit was Threads of the Swag Masters, powered by Facebook. This high-energy conversation brought together some of Africa’s most celebrated digital creators and entertainers, including Broda Shaggi, Cute Abiola, Gilmore, Jenini Frank, One Khan, and Kingana. The panel offered candid insights into content creation, audience growth, platform strategies, and the realities of building sustainable influence in today’s fast-paced digital economy. Speakers shared personal journeys and practical lessons on how African creators are leveraging social platforms to reach global audiences while staying rooted in authentic storytelling. The session resonated strongly with attendees and quickly became one of the most impactful creator-focused discussions of ACS 3.0.

Music emerged as another powerful pillar of the summit experience. A thrilling live performance by Skales electrified the audience and set the stage for a thought-provoking Live Music Swag Session featuring Bankuli, a respected music promoter with nearly two decades of experience in the African music industry. Together, they explored the evolution of African music on the global stage, touching on artist development, international collaborations, branding, and the growing importance of strategic promotion in the digital era. The session offered a rare blend of inspiration and industry insight, particularly for emerging artists navigating the complexities of today’s music ecosystem.

The film and television sector also took center stage during ACS 3.0, with the highly anticipated “Swag in the Nollywood Industry panel. The session featured Oladapo Adewunmi, Convener of the African Creator Summit and CEO of Apollo Endeavor, in a compelling conversation with Nollywood icon Omotola Jalade. Together, they examined Nollywood’s global positioning, the power of African storytelling, and the critical importance of ownership, partnerships, and creative authenticity. The discussion underscored Nollywood’s growing influence as a cultural export and its potential to compete on the world stage while retaining its unique African identity.

One of the most memorable experiential highlights of the summit was the Grubs Sessions, featuring renowned culinary creators Hilda Baci and Ify’s Kitchen. The session transformed the experience centre into a vibrant celebration of African food culture, creativity, and community. Beyond the rich and spicy culinary offerings that delighted thousands of attendees, the Grubs Sessions explored how food intersects with content creation, branding, and creative entrepreneurship. The experience reinforced the idea that food is not only nourishment but a powerful cultural and economic asset within Africa’s broader creative landscape.

Throughout the summit, high-impact panels, immersive brand activations, and creator-led experiences fostered meaningful connections and practical collaborations. ACS 3.0 was not simply a conference; it was a living marketplace of ideas where partnerships were forged, opportunities unlocked, and futures imagined. By convening such a diverse and influential audience, the summit set a new benchmark for creative industry convenings across the continent.

Reflecting on the significance of the event, Oladapo Adewunmi emphasized the broader mission of the summit. He noted that African creators are no longer on the margins of global culture but are actively building, exporting, and monetizing creativity at scale. According to him, ACS 3.0 represents a growing movement to ensure that Africa trades her SWAG with ownership, value creation, and long-term sustainability at its core.

As the African Creator Summit looks ahead, plans are already underway to build on the momentum of ACS 3.0. Through regional activations, creator labs, strategic partnerships, and industry collaborations, the platform aims to continue supporting creator growth, monetization, and global positioning across Africa. With its third edition now firmly etched into history, ACS has established itself not just as an event, but as a powerful catalyst for Africa’s creative future.
