The Alimosho Event Vendors Association (AEVA) successfully hosted the fifth edition of her annual Masterclass, Xpose 5.0, with this year’s theme, “Booked Out: Evolving In The AI Era.”
According to a statement, the event, held this October, brought together professional event vendors from across Alimosho Local Government in Lagos State, providing intensive training focused on leveraging innovation and strategic niche development for business growth.
In her welcome address, the association’s President, Rosemary Ajayi, CEO of Mary’s Golden Events, hailed members of the association for their immense support whilst also expressing gratitude to her executive, Board of Trustees for the success of the masterclass and dinner.
She emphasized the event’s central objective, saying, “Our goal with ‘Booked Out: Evolving In The AI Era’ is to move beyond mere survival.
She said, “We are here to facilitate meaningful connections and provide our members with the high-level strategies needed to consistently sell out their services in a competitive market.”
The presence of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Awojoodu Taiwo, underscored the leadership’s commitment to the association’s growth.
She added that the masterclass was well curated to improve the learning of the participants.
Chairperson Helen Fregene highlighted the forward-looking nature of the masterclass, noting that participants were privileged to learn how to harness innovation and technology to thrive and succeed.
She referenced the diverse lineup of local experts and an international speaker joining online from Sweden.
The keynote speaker, Mrs. Ayodeji Megbope of No Leftovers Moi Moi, urged the participants to focus on personal development.

She stressed the importance of carving a niche and understanding the specific market that needs their services.
One of the speakers, Mrs. Gbemisola Fasasi of Ignite Africa delivered a crucial session on “Leveraging AI for Event business success.”
She detailed how vendors could strategically use AI for enhanced creativity and visibility, such as utilizing tools to generate digital menus, create engaging marketing reels, design unique cake and decor ideas, and produce original jingles for DJs.
The concluding session was delivered by Mrs. Kemi Adeleke of KFA Events Limited on “Building a Sold Out Business Empire.”
Her points focused on the need for daring to be different in the industry, delivering excellent customer service, investing in cleanliness and maintenance, and building a strong brand.
The participants also had breakout sessions led by industry veterans, including, Mrs. Ibidunni Layade (Catering/Cake), Mrs. Adesewa Tugbobo-Amisu (Decor/Planning), Mr. Adewale David (Drinks), and Mr. Roland James (DJ/Entertainment).
The event, without a doubt, marked a significant milestone for AEVA as approximately eleven new members were formally inducted, reinforcing the association’s growing community.
The association’s annual event ended with a well organized dinner attended by highly- placed individuals including royal fathers within and outside of Alimosho.
Some of them include Oba Sulaimon Raji-Ashade Oniba Ekun, HRM Oba Akesan of Akesan land. Others guest includes, the Chairman Mosan LG, Chairman Agbado Oke-Odo, house of representatives Alimosho constituency 02 honourable Kehinde Joseph, Alhaji Lookman Alade Fowotade among others.
