Former UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya has insisted he will not walk away from the sport despite suffering a fourth consecutive defeat, declaring that no one can force him out of the Octagon.

Adesanya made the statement following a second-round technical knockout loss to rising contender Joe Pyfer in the main event of a UFC Fight Night in Seattle on Saturday night.

The 36-year-old, who has now been finished in his last three outings, remained resolute in his post-fight comments, stressing his determination to continue competing at the highest level.

“You keep going — again and again and again,” Adesanya said. “I’m not leaving. Nobody can stop me. I might get beat, but I’ll always remain undefeated.”

Inside the Octagon, Adesanya showed flashes of his trademark brilliance early in the contest, using forward pressure and leg kicks to unsettle Pyfer. However, the momentum shifted in the second round when Pyfer landed a counter left hook, followed by a series of heavy strikes that left the former champion vulnerable.

Pyfer capitalised by taking the fight to the ground and unleashing sustained punches from the back, forcing the referee to step in at 4:18 of the round.

The defeat extends a difficult run for Adesanya, who was once dominant in the middleweight division and widely regarded as one of its all-time greats.

For Pyfer, the victory represents a career-defining moment, likely propelling him into the division’s top five rankings as he continues his rapid rise in the UFC.
