ABUAD, Odua group partner on research, industrial park in Ekiti

Afe Babalola University

From: WOLE BALOGUN, Ado-Ekiti

Afe Babalola University, (ABUAD), an Ekiti State-based private university, owned by one of Nigeria’s legal icons, Aare Afe Babalola, is partnering with a South-West renowned investment firm, Odua Group, to promote research and industrial park, as well as to promote local contents in the production, manufacturing, sales and distribution of Nigeria made products.

Head of Corporate Affairs of the university, Tunde Olofintinla, said the partnership was to commence a collaboration that would enable the university and the Odua Group to jointly promote local content and encourage entreprenuership among Nigerians, adding that the current reality of massive unemployment demanded additional entreprenueurial, technical and productive skills to be acquired by undergraduates of Nigerian universities in order to make them employers of labour rather than mere job seekers.
