Abducted Lagos PDP chairman regains freedom

Chief Philip Olabode Aivoji, the Lagos State PDP chairman who was abducted along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway last Thursday evening, has regained his freedom.

Aivoji was taken hostage on Thursday January 25, around 6 pm by unknown persons along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway while returning from a stakeholders meeting in Oyo State convened by Governors Seyi Makinde and Ademola Adeleke.

Publicity Secretary of the PDP in the state Hakeem Amode, who disclosed the news, said Aivoji was released in the early hours of Monday.

“We use this opportunity to appreciate your prayers most importantly cos God’s mercies was visible all the way,” Amode stated.

“Thank you All for your concerns and prayers.”
