A university don, Dr Lalu Ishaya David, has joined the race for Mangu/Bokkos Federal Constituency seat ahead of 2023 election.
Dr Lalu, a lecturer with the University of Jos who is contesting under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), promised to give the Federal Constituency the needed representation.
The aspirant, who has so far became the first to picked a nomination form for the House of Representatives, disclosed this during his official declaration at his home town Mangun, in Mangu local government area of Plateau state.
“What you have never had in Bokos and Mangu you are going to have it. It this time. I became the first person to have picked the APC form for House of Representatives in Nigeria in preparation for the 2023 general election.”
David who earlier visited the District Head of Mangun, HRH Da Job Damiyal at his Palace in Mangun seek for Royal blessings, promised not to failed his people if given the mandate.
Damiyal appealed to other communities within the Federal Constituency to consider his son since the community has never for once had the chance to get to the National Assembly.
He expressed confidence on the candidature of Hon Lalu thus, “Is not a surprise for me because anything that is good has no hiding place.
“I am appealing to the people of Bokkos, Pyem Chiefdom to give our sons the needed support.
“I have long before now given him my blessings and it is with that blessings that he is waxing stronger and going to places.”
“He is confident that has subject has gained the love of people of the Constituency and it will be good to see that such a worthy son is taking to where he can contribute to the building of the Constituency and the country.”
“We are proud of this our son and there is no retreat no surrender and I am confident that he you will emerge victory.”
