The Eze Ndigbo Ghana, Eze Dr. Amb. Chukwudi Ihenetu has called on drug traffickers to turn a new leave by abandoning the illicit trade and embracing alternative avenues of investment in Africa.

In an interview granted GhanaWeb, an online platform in his Obiukwu Obieziokwu palace in Ghana, HRM Dr. Amb. Ihenetu bemoaned the growing abuse of drugs by the youths who used very innovative ways, and unsuspecting ways and influenced by thirst for fame, to expand and make more wealth, the Royal father said their is need for such persons to redirect their monies into other useful ventures that would be of benefit to humanity.

According to HRM Dr Amb. Ihenetu, a global Peace Ambassador, the use of illicit drugs has become a very dangerous thing among the young generation of the world.

He lamented over how the ugly activities of drug traffickers are gradually destroying the future of these young men and women, a situation the Royal Father says harms everyone including relatives of the persons promoting the trade.

In his words, HRM Dr. Amb. Ihenetu said: “One dangerous thing about all these things is those traffickers that are dealing in all these dangerous materials called drugs, or whatever they may call it are destroying the next generation. And the next generation includes their own children, because, if you think you are a businessman and you want to make money and yourself in a business like that, of being a drug trafficker- making money and putting in your account, you are not thinking that those same drugs you are selling, your sons or daughters can also take it somewhere.

“So, while you are making money, you are destroying these children. For me, it is dangerous thing; I call it a dangerous cancer that is eating up this generation, not only in America, but all over the world,” he said.

Furthermore, Dr Ihenetu called on the world to redirect its attention to this growing menace, ensuring that it does not become too late in being curbed.
