The 2023 Golden Stars Awards, held on June 18th at the Whitewater Event Hall in Lekki Peninsula, Lagos, was a night of celebration and recognition for outstanding personalities, brands, and businesses across various sectors.
Among the winners were renowned actress Mide Martins, politician Speaker Obasa, fashion icon Emmanuel Abiodun Obafemi, and entertainment sensation Whitemoney, who all took home top honors, highlighting their impactful contributions within their different fields.
The event also recognized notable individuals such as Olanrewaju Sharafa for “Outstanding Cultural Youth Ambassador in Diaspora,” Oluwaseun Ahmed Owoseni as “Outstanding Real Estate Mogul of the Year,” and Kemsan Acres for “Outstanding Real Estate Company of the Year.” The ceremony paid tribute to the late South African actor Don Mlangeni, who passed away earlier this year.
Speaking on behalf of Emmanuel Abiodun Obafemi, Prince Temiloluwa Bayode expressed pride in the award, stating, “We are not just happy about the nomination but about the win as the Outstanding Fashion Icon of 2023.
