The Director General (DG), Defence Industry Corporation of Nigeria (DICON), Major General Babatunde Ibrahim Alaya, has expressed excitement with a private organization, Consulting & Supply International (CSI) for collaborating with the Corporation in areas of production of defence needs for the Armed Forces of Nigeria and other para-military agencies in Nigeria. 
The DICON DG noted  that the partnership gesture was timely amidst the contemporary security challenges bedevilling the country and her citizens.
He Stated this when the Managing Director of the CSI, Mr. Fadi Bohsoun paid him a courtesy visit penultimate Friday on the need for collaboration with the Corporation.
“The partnership would no doubt accelerate the actualization of the Military Industrial Complex with DICON as the hub, thereby providing the needs of not only the Armed Forces of Nigeria but Africa as a continent. The DG DICON further appreciated the entire management of CSI for supporting a cause that will change the fortune of CSI while urging them to continue on the positive trajectory of supporting self-reliance and self-sufficiency in the production of defence-related products”. major General Alaya said.
Earlier, in his remarks, Mr Bohsoun emphasised the commitment of CSI  towards the realisation of a robust partnership with DICON to support local production of military hardware.
He assured the DG DICON of seamless collaboration with symbiotic benefits to both establishments, adding that, “it is a strategic move to strengthen partnerships and explore new opportunities for enhanced local production and self-sufficiency in defence-related products”.

DICON, Lieutenant Colonel Haruna Mohammed Sani said, “both parties expressed optimism about the potential for a fruitful collaboration, which could lead to significant advancements in Nigeria’s defence sector and contribute to the nation’s overall development.
“This visit underscores the growing interest in Nigeria’s defence industry and the potential for local and international partnerships to drive growth and innovation in the sector.
“CSI whose mission is to enhance operational readiness and support the evolving needs of security and defence operations across Nigeria and beyond,
is a Nigeria-based defence solutions provider specializing in the supply of military-grade equipment and logistics.
“The company also offers a comprehensive range of products, including arms, ammunition, armoured vehicles, tactical gear, and other mission-critical defence requirements.
“Accordingly, partnership with DICON would no doubt offers the requisite opportunity to boost local manufacturing industries in defence related products to support the AFN to conducting its constitutional mandate.
“Highlights of the visit were strategic discussion, presentation of souvenirs and group photographs”.
