The Asaga Ohafia community in Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State has lauded Governor Alex Otti for approving the reconstruction of a major road in the area.
In a letter of appreciation by the President and the Secretary-General of the community, Chief Okpa Ibekwem Okpa and Obinna Onugu as well as the publicity secretary, Stanley Mba, the community described the governor as a great leader, who cares so much about the need of the people .
It said the governor’s approval of the reconstruction of Asaga-Amuke Road/Iyiebi Bridge, abandoned for several years, was proof of his love for the people.
The letter stated that the efforts of the present administration in providing the needed infrastructure linking various communities in the area through the Greater Ohafia Development Authority (GODA), has shown that Otti was determined to assist people in rural communities, whose businesses have suffered due to bad roads.
“We are proud and happy that GODA has commenced the reconstruction of the road and we are full of appreciation,” the letter read.
They prayed God to give the Governor the wisdom and strength to continue to pilot the affairs of the state aright.
The people equally commended the Director General of GODA, Obinna Odum, for the good works he has been doing and called for the reconstruction of more critical rural roads in the area
