As the much-awaited 16th edition of the annual Community Pillars Award draws close, the number of recipients has continued to swell as the days pass by.

The latest addition to the roll call of recipients is the Assistant Inspector General Of Police, Zone 2, Adegoke Mustapha Fayoade, Alhaji (Dr) Tanko Ibrahim, an established freight forwarder and National Coordinator 100 0/0 NAGAFF Compliance Team, Bimbo Esho, MD, Evergreen Music Company and NASCON Allied Industries PLC, a subsidiary of Dangote Group.

Others are: Hon Mayor Olufemi Okeowo, Executive Chairman, Ifelodun LCDA Lagos State, Chief John Okorie, a multiple pied businessman, Hon Lukman Olumoh, member representing Ajeromi -Ifelodun Constituency 1 at the Lagos State House of Assembly and a selfless giver, Mary Aima Iwere, CEO Eunicebaby Iwere Foundation, Ambassador (Dr) Sunny Eromobor, a hotelier and successful Maritime player and a Cross Border Business concern Chaired by Prince Taofic Alao.

One of the recipients Assistant Inspector General Of Police, Zone 2, Adegoke Mustapha Fayoade, is an accomplished police officer who has maintained an impeccable record in his many years of service, rising through the ranks as a DPO, Area Commander, CP, and now AIG. His impeccable records were crowned by his refusal to collect a bribe of 100,000 dollars from an internet fraudster.

NASCON Allied Industries PLC, a subsidiary of the Dangote group, has been a good neighbor to her host communities; empowering the community residents through education, business setups, training, and sighting of different projects in the community

Another recipient, Hon Olufemi Akanbi Okeowo, the Mayor of Ifelodun LCDA, has done exceptionally well in providing infrastructure and other developmental projects. He has contributed immensely in the empowerment of many Ifelodun residents.

Alhaji Ibrahim Tanko is an astute businessman who rose from grass to grace. He has contributed immensely towards strengthening the job of freight forwarding to a respectable position. Not only that , he is a mass mobilizer and has been a key figure in protecting the interest of the AREWA Community in Lagos especially.

Other prominent recipients include: Hon Lukman Saaid Olumoh, the Lagos state House of Assembly Committee Chairman on Budget and Planning of the House, adjudged the second best lawmaker after the former Speaker, Hon Mudashiru Obasa.

A statement from the Organizers, signed by Ndukwe Edward, the Team Lead said, that all is set for the event and the Award Organizers are glad with Patric Ajah, the Managing Director/CEO MAY and BAKER’S Pharmaceutical Group, for “Supporting the Health” of the 16th Edition of the event.

The prestigious event is billed for the 15th of February 2025, at Osun Hall, Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.
