LAPO Microfinance Bank Limited has demonstrated commitment towards promoting financial inclusion in the country through a savings scheme.
As part of its commitment to celebrating loyal customers and fostering a savings culture, the microfinance institution, recently rewarded 50 customers with ₦50,000 each, while one lucky winner received ₦1.5 million at the recently concluded LAPO Xpress Savings Promo Season III Raffle Draw.
The winners were announced following a raffle draw conducted on January 31, 2025, at the LAPO place in Lagos. Representatives from the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority were present to oversee the proceedings, ensuring fairness and compliance with regulations.
To be eligible for the raffle draw, Xpress Savings account holders were required to save a minimum of ₦20,000 monthly for three consecutive months or make a total deposit of ₦60,000 in their LAPO Xpress Savings accounts between October 1, 2024, and December 31, 2024.
The digital raffle draw randomly selected winners from LAPO MfB’s strong presence across 35 states in Nigeria. The grand prize winner of ₦1.5 million, Yakubu Bembiya, is a customer from the bank’s Barde Branch in the Middle Belt Zone.
Speaking at the event, Cynthia Ikponmwosa, Managing Director of LAPO MfB, congratulated all the winners and emphasized the importance of cultivating a savings culture for financial security. She also encouraged customers to continue saving for a chance to win in future editions.
