US singer Beyoncé has set a new record by holding the most certified titles of any female artist, as announced by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
The ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ crooner now has 103 titles with RIAA certifications, with her recent albums earning her new certifications and her duets with hubby Jay-Z, ‘Drunk in Love’ (2013) and ‘Crazy in Love’ (2003) going 8x Platinum.
People report that songs and albums earn RIAA Gold certifications if they sell at least 500,000 units.
According to the news outlet, multi-platinum certifications are awarded at each increment of 1 million units sold, and diamond certifications are reserved for titles that sell 10 million copies.
Speaking on Beyoncé’s achievement, RIAA President and COO Michele Ballantyne said: “We are so excited to recognize the incredible talent, hard work and creative spirit reflected across diverse genres.
“Congratulations on this crowning milestone, Beyoncé, Parkwood Entertainment, Columbia Records — and we see you, BeyHive, streaming on repeat!”
