four years after his death, friends, and associates gathered on Tuesday to honour and celebrate the late businessman and estate consultant, Chief Teslim Adeola Almaroof. He died on July 2, 2020.

The Fidau prayer, organised by an estate agent, Alhaji Mutairu Owoeye, was held at his residence, Atan Ota in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Ogun State. Almaroof was head, Arota/Ologun family, Orile Oshodi,  Oshodi/Isolo Local Government, Lagos State.

Owoeye, described Almaroof as a mentor, quiet philanthropist and a celebrated estate consultant: “He was a very straightforward, honest  diligent person, with high moral values, professional ethics and impeccable integrity and indestructible loyalty.

“He fought for justice for land owning families in Lagos and Ogun states among others, whose family land and ancestral homes had been forcefully seized or illegally possessed by adverse possessor known as trespassers and meddlesome interlopers.

“He dissipated his deep knowledge of rudiment of land matter to repossess grabbed land through the instrumentality of law partnering with knowledgeable legal minds to achieve justice for oppressed and indigent family already deprived of their proprietary entitlement.

“Chief Almaroof was a quiet philanthropist. He was a man of immense benevolence and generosity, whose impact has been felt by many individuals and corporate bodies. He was a generous giver who had supported several charitable bodies including but not limited to religious bodies and organisations advancing the course of the less-privileged and oppressed members of the society.

“Almaroof despite the successes and greatness achieved in the business of land and property management coupled with numerous innovations introduced to the industry, remained a calm and unassuming person who was not known in a social circle.”

Owoeye prayed that “Almighty God grant those left behind the fortitude to bear the loss and grant the soul of the departed eternal rest.”
