• Why Nigerians should be proactive in information dissemination –Cleric
By Bianca Iboma
For 28-year-old Boluwatife Maybee, a native of Yewa North Local Government, Ogun State, farming, was not part of her dreams. Just like her contemporaries, she had aimed to pursue a career in the corporate world.

Chairman, Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, Ayo Ni O, His Grace and Spiritual Father, Emmanuel Abiodun Alogbo, has urged Nigerians to be proactive in the face of the country’s mounting security challenges. He also called on government officials at all levels to prioritise the welfare of the people.
He counselled Nigerians to be patient with the government because it is trying its best, but can still do more. He further encourages Nigerians to be proactive with information that can assist security agencies in curbing crimes. If you see something strange, say something.
He said the importance of this year’s Ascension of Mount Horeb pilgrimage cannot be overemphasised. The cleric thanked the Management Committee, District Chairmen, leaders of the various ministries, and branch leaders, stressing that their commitment and leadership had been pivotal in nurturing the vision and mission of the church:
“I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence Cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.’(Psalm 121:1-2). He emphasized the urgent need for leadership to implement tangible measures to alleviate the hardships citizens face.
Prophet Alogbo noted that the current economic challenges are straining families and communities, urging officials to adopt policies that effectively address these issues. “The welfare of the people must be the cardinal focus of our leaders,” he declared, advocating for a concerted effort to provide relief and improve living conditions across the nation.
He appealed to members of the Nigerian diaspora to invest in businesses that could create job opportunities for the nation’s youth. “Our young people are our future, and we must empower them through entrepreneurship and job creation,” he stated, encouraging Nigerians abroad to leverage their resources and skills to benefit their home country.
The 2025 Horeb conference served as an important platform for discussing the intersection of faith, community welfare, and socio-economic development, with Prophet Alogbo’s remarks resonating deeply with attendees seeking solutions to Nigeria’s pressing challenges.
Special Apostle Joel Adeniran said: “This year’s ascension is prophetically loaded. It is not an ordinary gathering – it is a divine visitation.” He said long-standing battles would be won and yokes would be broken in this year’s Mount Horeb Ascension: “The Lord has spoken expressly that this 56th edition shall be a Mount Horeb of divine settlements and Double Glory. Long-standing battles will be terminated. Yokes will be broken. Captives shall be set free.
“The barren will sing for joy. The sick will leap in health. Those who have been delayed will overtake, and the rejected shall become the cornerstone. At this holy convocation, altars of fire will be raised. Night will turn to day for many destinies.
“Angels are already on assignment, and the voice of the Lord will thunder over the waters of affliction. ‘The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty’. Psalm 29:4). I call on the global family of the Cherubim and Seraphim, especially the CSMC Global Family and indeed all who seek a genuine encounter with the Almighty, to gather with holy expectations.”
The movement reeled out its contributions to national development, charging Nigerians to pray for the country and the security agencies in the face of insecurity in the country.
Conference General Secretary of the Church, Senior Special Apostle A. O. Samaye, said the Mount Horeb pilgrimage of this year bears double significance it marks yet another sacred accent in our spiritual journey as a people and also coincides with the first anniversary of our Spiritual Father, Baba Aladura Prophet Emmanuel Alogbo.
Prophet Samaye added that the event is not just a program but a gathering of divine encounter where the divine meets the destiny of men, eternity touches, and the sacred realm of Heaven intersects with the cries of earth as God will move and destiny is realigned.
