An Akure, Ondo State based business tycoon, Sesan Adelabu has allegedly committed suicide after killing his wife.
The deceased allegedly killed himself after he had killed his wife inside his house at Alagbaka area of Akure, the state capital.
Details of the incident were sketchy as at press time, but unconfirmed sources said the business man caught his wife in bed with one of his security guards, hence his actions.
The victim reportedly macheted his wife to death and thereafter, committed suicide by drinking an insecticide known as sniper.
According to the source, the incident occurred in the early hours of the day.
His wife’s lifeless body was left on their marital bed, while the business man died inside his toilet after drinking the insecticide.
Adelabu, according to sources, has a chain of business investments, including petrol stations in Akure and other places.
The corpses of the two of them were said to have been deposited at the Akure General Hospital.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the state police command, Funmi Odunlami, confirmed the incident.
Odunlami said that the business man murdered his wife and thereafter committed suicide by drinking sniper.
The police spokesperson added that police detectives have started their investigation into the matter.
