A chieftain of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Bauchi State, Noah J Wadata, has urged the State governor, Bala Mohammed to use his victory at the Supreme Court to redouble his developmental strides in the State in order to improve on good governance from his first tenure in office for sustainable development.
Wadata in a statement noted that it was hard work and dedication to good governance, security , infrastructural development that gave the governor a re-election for another four years in office.
“The last four years and Seven months was a testimony that Bauchi State will grow to attain more heights in infrastructural development, security and peaceful co- existence among different ethnic groups in the State.
“I particularly appreciate the governor for the miraculous way and manner he used in handling the challenges of insecurity in the state.
“This is a divine intervention, and we salute the Supreme Court justices for proven that they are the last hope of the common man. Power is from God, he gives whoever he wants to give at anytime.
“As a true politician, we commend Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed who after his victory, extended hands of fellowship to his opponents. That is the hallmark of a great politician.
“I am calling on Bauchi State people to forget their political interest, religious and ethnic background to put politics aside and join hands with Governor Mohammed to rebuild and restore the glory of the State to make it a peaceful and happy home for investors and investment to grow,” the statement said.
The PDP chieftain praised the executive arm of government at the federal level under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for not interfering in the cases at the supreme court especially Kano State, plateau, Zamfara and Bauchi, respectively.
“Tinubu’s singular act of non interference has proven that the independence of the judiciary is assured and this will deepen our democracy.
“Our dear governor, the massive votes polled across the State at the election and the affirmation of your victory at the supreme court to come first among other qualified candidates is a sign that you are the popular choice of the peace loving people of Bauchi State.
“Indeed, your victory and declaration as the governor of Bauchi State is God ordained choice thus the continuous growth of Bauchi State and her citizens are assured in a prosperous city under your leadership.
“We urge you to continue to build Bauchi State to be the best among other States for more sustainable developments in terms of rapid and economic development.
“Your Excellency, the spontaneous jubilation over your victory at the supreme court on the streets of Bauchi and all the nooks and crannies of Bauchi State eloquently shows the fact that you are the choice of the people.
