The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has announced that 31 vessels carrying petroleum products, food items, and various other goods are scheduled to arrive at Apapa, Tin-Can Island, and Lekki Deep Sea Ports in Lagos between January 6 and 16.
According to the NPA’s “Daily Shipping Position” released on Tuesday, the incoming ships are transporting condensate, crude oil, aviation fuel, raw oil, bulk bitumen, wall pallets, general cargo, bulk soya beans, fresh fish, diesel, petrol, and containers.
The Authority noted that 13 ships and tankers have already arrived at the three Lagos ports, awaiting berthing. These vessels carry diesel, crude oil, aviation fuel, fresh fish, crude palm olein, bulk gas, wallet pallets, containers, bulk sugar, and other general cargoes.

Additionally, 23 vessels are currently discharging their cargoes, which include bulk urea, wheat, salt, bitumen, petrol, bulk gas, fresh fish, containers, and general merchandise.
The NPA said that these arrivals reflect the steady flow of goods into Nigeria’s busiest ports and underscore the ongoing importance of Lagos as a hub for petroleum and agricultural imports. By providing daily shipping updates, the Authority aims to ensure transparency and keep stakeholders, including importers, exporters, and shipping companies, informed about vessel schedules, cargo types, and port operations. This movement of ships is expected to support supply chains across the country, ensuring timely distribution of essential commodities and petroleum products to meet domestic demand.
