• Promises security, economic growth, transparent representation

An All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial aspirant, Sola Ajimati, has called on stakeholders in Kwara State to zone the party’s Kwara South ticket to a young candidate for the 2027 general elections.
He made the appeal while formally declaring his intention to contest the Kwara South seat.
Speaking at an event in Abuja, the aspirant unveiled a youth-driven political movement, themed, “It’s Youth O’Clock,” anchored on security, economic development and transparent leadership. “It’s Youth O’Clock movement, the time has come for young professionals and community leaders to move beyond complaints and actively participate in governance and policy making,” he said.
Addressing supporters and stakeholders, he noted that Kwara South is rich in human and economic potential but has suffered from inadequate representation capable of translating opportunities into tangible development.
“Kwara South is not short of talent. We are not short of strength. What we have lacked is representation that converts potential into real results,” he stated.
He explained that “It’s Youth O’Clock” initiative is not just a slogan but a movement aimed at building systems that will create jobs, strengthen security and restore hope among the people. The aspirant outlined key priorities if elected, including community-based security initiatives, youth empowerment, infrastructure development, and improved education and skills acquisition.
“As your representative, we will advance security by pushing for stronger community protection and ensuring our people can live and work without fear. We will empower our youth with access to opportunities and real economic pathways,” he said. He also pledged to attract federal projects and infrastructure to the district, stressing that Kwara South must take its rightful place in national development.
He assured constituents of transparent and accountable leadership, noting that his ambition is driven by service rather than personal gain.
“My ambition is not about position. It is about responsibility, to speak with courage, act with clarity, and deliver measurable impact,” he added.
The aspirant, who hails from Edidi in Isin Local Government Area, highlighted his track record in youth empowerment and community development through his company, Crownstar Projects Limited, and the Youth Arise For Leadership Initiative.
He listed interventions such as solar street lighting projects, road and bridge construction, borehole installations, scholarships, vocational training, and job creation initiatives across Kwara South communities.
He said his vision is to build “a modern Kwara South driven by opportunity, powered by infrastructure, and led by empowered people,” urging youths and stakeholders to support the movement.
“This is our moment. This is our time. It’s Youth O’Clock, and together we will lead boldly,” he said.
