A support group for President Bola Tinubu, known as PBAT Again 2027, is targeting one million votes in Oyo State for the re-election bid of Tinubu.

This was made known at the opening of the group’s operational headquarters in Ibadan, which was witnessed by a gathering of thousands of All Progressives Congress (APC) loyalists.

The party leaders in Oyo State also declared that they were committed to deliver over one million votes for the president’s re-election, framing the early move as a strategic necessity to consolidate national reforms.

The newly commissioned office, situated at Obafemi Awolowo Road Oke Bola, Ibadan, is designed to serve as the nerve centre for grassroots engagement and political education.

The Convener of the movement, Ambassador Kunle Adeleke, who serves as the State Chief of Protocol (SCoP) to the President, described the initiative as a forward-looking commitment to continuity, stability, and progress.

“PBAT AGAIN 2027 is not merely a slogan; it is a deliberate call to consolidate reforms and ensure the trajectory of national development remains steady.

“Political success in 2027 will not be accidental; it will be the product of deliberate planning and execution starting now,” Adeleke stated.

The event drew a who’s who of Oyo State politics, with stakeholders urging private individuals and non-politicians to emulate Adeleke’s proactive approach.

The chairman of APC in the state, Otunba Moses Adeyemo, described the office  as a renewed effort to galvanise support. He charged members to begin immediate mass mobilisation.

Senator Fatai Buhari, representing Oyo North in the National Assembly also described the initiative as a forward-thinking template for political actors to give back to the system.

A legal practitioner, Akeem Agbaje, who is a governorship aspirant on the APC platform, emphasised the need for internal cohesion, warning against imposition and divisions that could hamper previous outings.

The movement’s State Coordinator, Olatunde Sunmonu, characterised the office as a strategic hub for policy dialogue, specifically targeting youth inclusion and political education.

Speakers at the event, including Senator Sarafadeen Alli (Oyo South); member of the House of Representatives, Akeem Adeyemi; Senator Hosea Agboola; Fatai Adeshina; Muraina Ajibola; representatives of former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu; Senator Yunus Akintunde (Oyo Central); leader of the Igbo community, Dr. James Oramadike; and other party leaders and stakeholders across zones spoke at the event.

They commended Tinubu’s reforms in infrastructure, education, and finance. They echoed the sentiment that a good turn deserves another.
