It was a memorable day for the inmates of Correctional Centre for Junior Boys, Yaba, Lagos as Soledotun Abdulkarim-Yusuf Foundation, in collaboration with La Dots Partycity, hosted them to a Christmas party.
Tagged: ‘Festival of Hope’ and held on December 25, the event was filled with love, laughter and inspiration, as the boys had the fun of their lives.
In her remarks at the party, Hajja Soledotun Abdulkarim-Yusuf, the NGO’s chairman/founder, encouraged the boys to believe in themselves, embrace discipline, and remain hopeful about their future.
Indeed, the boys had an amazing time, dancing, laughing and participating actively in the programme.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of foodstuffs and toiletries to the boys, a gesture that underscored the Foundation’s commitment to empowering the boy child. La Dots added to the festive atmosphere, as it treated the boys to crispy popcorn and delicious Party Jollof Rice.
Mr. Salu, the director, expressed his appreciation for the Foundation’s efforts, saying it was a day of joy, motivation and meaningful impact, and wished there could be an encore.
The Foundation’s Members of Trustees, including Mallam Abdulkarim Yusuf, were also present, lending their support to the worthy cause.
