Your safety is assured, Kebbi govt. tells corps members

The Kebbi State Government has assured the new corps members posted to the state of their safety throughout their one year mandatory service in the state.
Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu stated this, on Friday, at the Permanent orientation camp of National Youth Service Corps(NYSC)Dakingeri during the swearing in ceremony of 2017 batch A stream II corps members.

The governor said that the state government would provide conducive environment for them.
Bagudu, represented by his Chief of Staff, Alhaji Mohammed Suleiman Argungu, however, urged the corps members to cultivate healthy relationship with their colleagues and residents of the state as well as to be patriotic and selflessness in all their activities.
“The government of Kebbi State on its part will do everything within its capacity to ensure a conducive and secure environment during and after the orientation course.
” Kebbi State is known for peace. Your safety here is assured. Already, I have directed various security agencies in the state to double their efforts towards ensuring that adequate security measures are put in place to check any breakdown of law and order. “.
The Governor urged them to be law abiding citizens, partner with Kebbi state to create a secure environment saying ” state government will continue to to everything possible to see to your general welfare and wellbeing, “.
The NYSC state coordinator, Alhaji Lawal Turawa, in his welcome address, disclosed that as at 12 midnight of Thursday July 27, about 2,834  corps members were registered with 480 females and 1,354 males.
He said: “Since the commencement of this orientation course,the 2017 batch S stream II corps members have been outstanding. They have responded with great zeal,maturity,and discipline to all camp activities. Their level of patriotism and enthusiasm since arrival is highly commendable “.
He urged them to obey security agencies directives, utilise skills acquisition and entrepreneurship development made available to them in the camp in order to be self reliant.
