Como have qualified for the UEFA Champions League for the first time in their 119-year history, sealing a top-four finish in Serie A on the final day of the 2025-26 season under manager Cesc Fàbregas.
The Lombardy club confirmed their place in next season’s competition with a 4-1 victory away to Cremonese on Sunday, as rivals AC Milan suffered a home defeat that dropped them out of the Champions League spots.
Inter Milan won the Scudetto, with Napoli in second and Roma third, while Como claimed fourth place ahead of Juventus and Milan.
Fàbregas, who joined Como as a player in 2022 before transitioning into coaching, has orchestrated a remarkable rise.
The former Arsenal, Barcelona, and Spain midfielder led the team to promotion from Serie B in 2024 and has now delivered European football in just their second season back in the top flight.

Addressing the squad after Sunday’s game, Fàbregas said he had a feeling before the season started Como would qualify for the UCL.
But he admitted that it could not have been possible without the players, thanking them for their dedication, spirit and willingness to fight until the very end.
“You’re the reason that this is so beautiful,” he told the players.
“I have no doubt that you’ll be remembered forever,” he said.
