Emir of Yauri, Dr. Muhammad Zayyanu Abdullahi, has said plans have been concluded to upgrade the annual Yauri festival Ritaga to international standard. He disclosed this ahead of the festival slated to hold from February 13 to 15, 2025.
Represented by Alhaji Abubakar Saidu Yakubu, Ubandoman Yauri, the emir said: “The publicity committee identified grey areas, which failed to give the festival held last year the glamour, test and standard to meet global target.
“We have itemised the problems and we are working to erase them completely to ensure total and tourist-friendly festival.” He solicited media support and collaboration, as critical stakeholders in the propagation of the festival.
Ritaga festival is an annual cultural festival. It showcases the rich culture of Yauri Emirate and the people of Kebbi State.
