As preparations intensify for Children’s Day 2026 across Nigeria, thousands of parents are increasingly turning their attention to events that offer children more than just entertainment, with the 7th edition of the WOW Children’s Day Fiesta emerging as one of the country’s most anticipated family experiences.
Scheduled as part of this year’s Children’s Day celebrations, the fiesta is attracting growing interest from families, schools and corporate partners seeking a more engaging and inclusive atmosphere for children.
Organisers of the annual event said the 2026 edition, themed “Gospel of Inclusion,” is designed to ensure that every child feels valued, involved and celebrated regardless of social background, personality or ability.
The event comes at a time when many parents are expressing concerns over overcrowded and repetitive Children’s Day outings that often fail to provide meaningful experiences for children and families.
According to the organisers, the WOW Children’s Day Fiesta was created to bridge that gap by combining entertainment, creativity, education and social interaction in one immersive environment.
Over the years, the fiesta has evolved from a small seasonal gathering into a widely recognised experiential platform where children actively participate in games, creative workshops, performances and interactive learning sessions tailored to build confidence and encourage self-expression.

Speaking on the vision behind the event, the founder of WOW Surprises, Owolabi Emmanuel Tosin, popularly known as Mr WOW, said the initiative continues to expand because of its commitment to inclusion and child-focused impact.
“The 7th WOW Children’s Day Fiesta is a testament to resilience, inclusion and heart. By expanding our reach, we are ensuring that the message of ‘No Child Left Behind’ resonates louder than ever before,” he said.
He noted that the organisers are committed to creating a safe and memorable environment where children can learn, play and connect with others while families enjoy quality bonding moments.
Also speaking, the Head of Strategy and Consultant for WOW Children’s Day Fiesta, Joseph Eshio Oghanyan, described the fiesta as more than just a recreational event.
“Children may forget what they received, but they rarely forget how an experience made them feel. The goal of WOW is to create moments that stay with children long after the day is over while giving families something truly meaningful to share together,” he said.
According to him, the fiesta is gradually becoming a cultural family experience built around inclusion, creativity and unforgettable childhood memories.
This year’s edition is expected to feature interactive play zones, live performances, collaborative games, food experiences, creative learning activities and surprise engagement sessions designed to keep children actively involved throughout the celebration.
Organisers added that registration for the event is already ongoing, with families encouraged to secure participation early due to the anticipated high turnout.
