Lillian Amah-Aluko set to release third novel June 10

Award-winning Nigerian author, actor, producer, and creative executive Lillian Amah-Aluko has announced the official launch of her latest novel, The Things We Do To Each Other, scheduled for release on June 10, 2026.

Published by Kraftgriots Publishing, the book is a compelling exploration of love, marriage, betrayal, emotional wounds, and redemption. It delves into the fragile complexities of human relationships and the quiet tensions that often exist beneath seemingly perfect lives.

The novel follows Chetachi “Chet” Dozie, a successful oil industry executive admired for his thriving career and loyal circle of lifelong friends. Despite his accomplishments, societal pressure to settle down begins to weigh heavily on him. Everything changes when he meets Susan, a vibrant and free-spirited woman who sweeps him into an intense whirlwind romance. Convinced he has found both love and companionship, Chet proposes within six months. However, marriage soon unveils a far more complicated reality, forcing both characters to confront painful truths about love, insecurity, trust, and healing.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the book, Amah-Aluko said:

”The Things We Do To Each Other is a deeply emotional exploration of love, insecurity, and the quiet ways relationships break and heal. I wanted to tell a story that feels honest, vulnerable, and reflective of the emotional complexities many people experience behind closed doors.”

With a storytelling career spanning over a decade, Amah-Aluko has built a reputation for creating emotionally resonant narratives across literature, film, and television. Her work often explores themes of identity, resilience, conflict, morality, and the shades of grey that define human relationships. She is also the author of the critically acclaimed novels Echoes of a Heartbeat and Dreams of Yesterday.

Upon release, paperback copies will be available for order on Amah-Aluko’s official website alongside her previous titles. The eBook edition will be released on Amazon at a later date.
